Killing cash in Scotland
It is time to kill cash. This will be the core message when TicketCo co-founder and CSO Carl-Erik Moberg Michalsen and TicketCo UK Key Account Manager Joe Edwards – along with Mungo Finlayson of MFGF Events Ltd – meets up with Scottish event organisers at ETAG Digital Solutions for Tourism Conference 2019 in Edinburgh 24 October.

He is very pleased to witness the success the Scottish MFGF Events Ltd have experienced since partnering with TicketCo, and he is looking forward to share the stage at the Edinburgh conference with Mungo Finlayson.

Accurate buying gives accurate profit
“We experience more reserved stock ordering and control after we started using TicketCo”, says Mungo Finlayson.
He is using the cashless data to review what products are popular and sell well, and also for re-ordering during events when he knows a product is popular and selling well.
“Profit is buying. The more accurate the buying, the more accurate your profit will become,” he states.
Besides reduced costs, MFGF Events Ltd have also experienced increased revenue due to TicketCo.
“Having been a token operating festival we’ve seen massive revenue increase since deploying the TicketCo cashless system. With TicketCo and the POS system every product has its own pricing. We used to just charge a fixed pitch fee for food vendors who catered our events – now if food vendors wish to be involved in our events we require them to be part of the TicketCo system. This gives two benefits – means we can charge a fixed percentage and drive our revenue and gives the customer one easy event payment system throughout the festival,” Mr Finlayson says.
Among the audience at MFGF’s events, the reactions has been positive.
“Customers enjoy having the ease of being able to buy their tickets and festival credit all within one app. They also appreciate the fact they get all their unspent credit refunded and can see all their purchases throughout the festival. This feature is especially useful for us as we can push customers to our high street shop or online store,” he states.
