Solihull Moors FC goes mobile

Vanarama National League football club Solihull Moors have partnered with TicketCo to offer fans mobile technology to purchase match tickets. “The TicketCo technology increases our accessibility and provides greater choice for supporters when buying tickets,” says club CEO Calvin Barnett.

“The new owners at Solihull Moors are forward thinking and have great aspirations for the club, so we’re delighted to have partnered with them to provide a tailored e-ticketing solution that meets their needs. We have worked closely with the club’s operational team and provided on-site training and support during the implementation process of the system and we now look forward to watching the club go from strength to strength,” says David Kenny, TicketCo UK Country Manager, after closing the new client.

He is confident that the club has made the right choice.

“TicketCo’s technology is designed to make event payments quick and easy for both organisers and consumers, thanks to our pioneering technology. The platforms’ technology is compatible with Android and iOS devices and also enables organisers to promote offers on food, drink and merchandise in advance of events,” he says.

Enables better service

Solihull Moors CEO Calvin Barnett is equally confident regarding TicketCo’s advantages both for the club and their followers.

“Fans will still be able to buy tickets with cash if they wish too, but we felt it was important to offer a wider choice and modernise our approach.”

How it works

The TicketCo system can send QR codes to supporter’s smart-phones which are then scanned at turnstiles to gain entry on match-day. The platform also provides Solihull Moors with an online ticketing and payment facility for the first time and integrate with the club’s website and Facebook page. The cloud-based technology will enable Solihull Moors to enhance fan engagement via digital marketing and capture data and develop insights.

Solihull Moors trailed taking card payments on the gate at the Automated Technology Group Stadium against FC Halifax Town and Boreham Wood. Supporters will now be able to purchase tickets for all home games online, print at home, or have tickets downloaded onto a mobile phone.
