•First EFL clubs to partner with Norwegian event payment provider

Cloud-based event payment platform TicketCo has partnered with two English Football League football clubs.

League One Wycombe Wanderers and League Two Macclesfield Town have both joined forces with TicketCo. TicketCo has developed strongly since joining the UK market last year and the appointments of Wycombe and Macclesfield are the first EFL clubs to join the company. They join Kilmarnock, Eastleigh, Solihull Moors, Oxford City and AFC Telford in the TicketCo UK football club stable.

David Kenny, TicketCo UK Country Manager, said: “This is a significant development in our UK football journey, and we look forward to continuing to grow in the industry. We are proud to be working with some fantastic clubs and helping them improve their ticketing platforms.

“Every club we have partnered with is passionate about fan engagement and providing a progressive ticketing solution. We are looking forward to continuing to work closely with our clubs and using our cashless technology to improve the fans’ experience.”

TicketCo’s technology is designed to make event payments quick and easy for both clubs and supporters, thanks to its pioneering technology. The platform’s technology is compatible with Android and iOS devices and enables organisers to promote offers on food, drink and merchandise in advance of events. The TicketCo mobile technology can send QR codes to supporter’s smartphones which are then scanned at turnstiles to gain entry on match-day.

Mark Palmer, Wycombe Wanderers director, said: “This is a great step forward in our strategy to improve the fan experience and commercial revenues streams. The TicketCo platform is fantastic and it makes buying tickets so simple online, via mobile phones, the club website and Facebook. It will enable us to provide a better service to our supporters and help us grow the club.”

James Beckett, Macclesfield Town Commercial Manager said: “We researched the market extensively and found the TicketCo platform very easy to use and we believe it will make our tickets more accessible via multiple channels. The platform will also help us future proof our systems and ensure we are prepared for the continued shift towards a cashless society. We are proud to be the first EFL League Two club to partner with TicketCo.”

TicketCo has offices in Norway, the UK, Poland and Sweden. It has partnerships with numerous football clubs in Europe including Legia Warsaw, SK Brann and Molde.
