TicketCo nominated in three categories for Event Technology Awards

by | Sep 10, 2021

TicketCo Media Services has been recognised as one of the top digital platforms in the events industry.

It has been nominated in three categories at this year’s prestigious Event Technology Awards.

Our cloud-based event payment and online broadcasting platform has been shortlisted in Best Pivot from Physical to Virtual, Best Hybrid Event Platform or Production and Best Sales Solution.

TicketCo Media Services was launched in 2020 as an innovative offering by TicketCo in response to the pandemic. The online broadcasting solution was built on top of the TicketCo’s secure digital payment platform, creating an integrated solution for organisers. It helped event organisers continue to perform, connect with audiences and generate revenue via online broadcasting during lockdowns.

Hybrid events

Carl-Erik Michalsen Moberg, Co-Founder and Chief Sales Officer at TicketCo Media Services, said the nominations serve as a reward for the team’s hard work in the past year

“I am proud and excited that TicketCo Media Services will be represented in three categories at this year’s Event Technology Awards,” said Carl. “The pandemic unearthed unprecedented challenges across the events sector and there has been a dramatic shift in how we engage with and attend live performances.

“When venues doors were closed we innovated and created a solution to take events to the only place that was open, the internet – and the results have been incredible. We have seen many organisers develop global audiences that they never thought possible and the events industry is now all about hybrid.

“The three shortlisting are testament to the vision, innovation and determination of the team at TicketCo and the industry that has embraced our technology. We look forward to the awards presentation and wish all other nominees the very best of luck.”

Events online

TicketCo Media Services provides organisers with their own TV channel with paywall and pay-per-view admission to HD quality broadcasts which can be streamed via Apple TV, Android TV, a smart TV, phones and tablets. It also supports Geo restrictions and Digital Rights Management to safeguard clients on copyright and licensing issues.

Clients are spread across entertainment, Arts and Culture and sport. They include touring theatre company Wise Children, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Just The Tonic and the Southbank Centre plus sports teams Altrincham FC, FC Isle of Man, Swindon Wildcats and Bedford Blues.

Event Technology Awards

Now in its ninth year, the Event Technology Awards recognise the achievements of companies delivering digital and technological solutions to the events industry. This year, winners will be announced during Event Tech Live’s hybrid week, which starts on Monday, November 1.

Categories will be analysed by a team of 31 industry experts who will highlight the pivotal role technology has played in the events industry in the last 12 months.
