Wise Children’s Simon Baker joins webinar on how theatre production companies can successfully deliver online pay-per-view shows

by | Jan 15, 2021

Digital pay-per-view events is a great remedy for theatres who are eager to reconnect with their audience during the pandemic. But what is the success recipe? Where do you start, and what do you need to take into consideration if you want to go digital?

These questions will be answered on a webinar on Tuesday 26th January, where TicketCo’s Customer Success Agent Jessica Goodfellow will discuss relevant aspects of streaming with Wise Children’s Technical Director (and recent winner of the ‘achievement in technical theatre’ award at The Stage Awards) Simon Baker.

Wise Children was amongst the first UK theatres who went digital, and it sold almost 12,000 virtual tickets to its production of Romantics Anonymous at the Bristol Old Vic during the first UK lockdown last year. For this achievement Simon Baker was recently assigned a well deserved gong at The Stage Awards. As a pioneer user of TicketCo Media Service he has also contributed in the preparation of TicketCo Media Services welcome pack.

There is a lot of uncertainty among organisers when it comes to online broadcasting, and our new guide is produced to erase this fear and build easily accessible knowledge and trust.
